Hospital Outpatient Lead Technician

This key role supports the Pharmacy General Manager and Pharmacist in a number of key areas. As well as assisting with support for colleagues and coaching on a daily basis, this role is crucial in providing a safe efficient outpatient dispensing service. Lead technicians are the final dispensing 'check', providing accuracy and safety for all dispensed medicines, ensuring that supply is conducted with full regard for Company and NHS operative procedures and legal and clinical governance requirements.

  • Qualified Accuracy Checking Technician
  • Registered Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience

Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy Technician

A crucial customer facing role and important member of the Pharmacy. Our technicians are there to ensure the safe and efficient dispensing to the customer and supporting the Pharmacist and Pharmacy team. Our people work to the highest standards of care and procedure - in-line with all Company and NHS Trust operating guidelines.

General Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy Manager

Ultimate responsibility for the Pharmacy rests with the General Outpatient Pharmacy Manager. Their professionalism drives the quality of care, standards and performance of the team. They build relationships with the Trust and continuously improve performance to satisfy all KPIs, ensuring that the team constantly exceed the Trusts, Professional, legal and clinical governance requirements.

  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration pharmacy experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience gained in a hospital pharmacy environment
  • Specialist pharmacy knowledge acquired through post graduate diploma level or equivalent training, is desirable
  • Leadership skills - proven experience in coaching and leading teams; excellent communication and influencing skills; proven track record of planning and prioritising.

Very much a front line 'face' for the outpatients Pharmacy, our Counter Assistants ensure that prescriptions are received and any queries are escalated to an appropriate member of the team in a courteous, professional and considered way.
