If you are under 18 years of age
Although we ask for your date of birth, your age plays no part in the selection process. Regrettably, applicants under 18 years of age cannot be employed for night shift replenishment, counters, warehouse, team leaders or petrol filling station positions, this is due to health and safety requirements. In addition to satisfy legal requirements all our members of management must be over 18 years of age.
If you are 16 years of age or under (England, Wales and Northern Ireland)
All applicants must be of compulsory school leaving age. A person is deemed to be no longer of compulsory school age after the last Friday of June of the school year in which their sixteenth birthday falls. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland this means that if your date of birth is after 1 September 1995 we will not be able to accept your application until June 2012.
Scotland
In Scotland a person is deemed to be of school age if their sixteenth birthday falls between 1st March and 30th October. Pupils aged sixteen on or between 1st October and the last day of February are still of compulsory school age until the start of the Christmas holidays in that school year, this means that if your date of birth is after 1 October 1995 we will not be able to accept your application until 20 December 2011.
We cannot accept your application if you fail to meet the above requirements.
