At Sainsbury's, Property is at the heart of our business with growing sales space as one of the key areas of focus for the business. We have a diverse team that covers finding and acquiring sites, gaining planning consents through consultation with communities and local authorities, making recommendations to the Board on sales and costs, planning new stores and our existing portfolio and finally to building stores with our construction partners.

Once complete, we also ensure that we have a strategy to maintain our existing portfolio ensuring it is kept up-to-date as well as managing the property costs and the day-to-day estates management issues of looking after such a large portfolio of property.

Throughout all we do, our aim is to give all customers easy access to the Sainsbury's offer whilst maintaining our values by respecting the environment and the communities within which our stores sit.

The Graduates Property Scheme

The Property Scheme is 2 years long, the first four months of which will be spent in store understanding how stores operate. After your store placement you'll return to the Store Support Centre, Ansty Park, Coventry where you will complete placements from across Property, developing your network of relationships with colleagues and suppliers and gaining an overview of the end-to-end Property processes.

Your second year will see you more focussed on a particular area of Property where you will gain an in-depth understanding of a specific part of the Property process whilst taking on a targeted project that delivers against our business objectives.

Upon completion of your scheme you will take on a permanent position where as part of the managerial team you will be expected to deliver in line with our business objectives.
