Trainee Manager
Being an experienced retailer I was looking to move into management and this provided the ideal opportunity. Sainsbury's gave me the training I needed to help the Store Manager deliver an ever-improving shopping experience for our customers. I found myself playing a central role in everything... From providing leadership and coaching to managers and colleagues to reviewing in-store procedures and activity on an ongoing basis. For this role I think you need a sharp customer focus and first-class leadership skills, be innovative, approachable and highly organised.
