JOB PURPOSE:

Develop and implement site strategy for Sainsbury’s Online to grow sales, profitability and supplier revenue. This will be within the framework provided by Proteus (website replatform project) working closely with BAU and project teams to deliver a best in class customer experience on the new web platform.

What will the job holder need to deliver in the next 12-18 months and how will this be measured?

• Development of the new web platform
o Development of new website hierarchy design
o Transfer and maintenance of GOL Range to new platform
o Development of attribute based product data structure
o Management and tuning of website search function

• Implement new business processes to effectively set up, and trade GOL website

• Engagement from the wider business team into new processes and systems

OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop new website hierarchy implementing attribute and customer driven navigation using best practise from suppliers, competitors and category insights

• Utilise current site analytics to further determine new customer journies and shape new analytics provision

• Business testing of the transfer and setup of all product information for the new platform

• Source product attribute data for launch from internal and external sources

• Develop processes and procedures necessary to run efficient ranging and merchandising solutions for the website to include new line processes, seasonal range processes etc

• Optimise and tune search engine performance and establish programme of continuous review and improvement

• Ambassador for Online across trading and supply chain colleagues engaging them with the new site

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES

Skills:

• A credible communicator, able to influence at all levels, internally and with external partners
• Good planning and prioritising skills in order to deliver complex plans to deadline.
• High level of customer focus and ability to integrate best practice from supplier and competitiors to deliver a seamless and inspirational customer journey.

Essential Experience:
• Experience working in a fast moving highly pressured environment.
• Experience interpreting analysis.
• Good product knowledge and experience

Desired Experience:
• Experience working in an Online Grocery retailer
• Experience in product and range management roles
• Experience in trading positions and proven track record of sales and profit targets
