Summary of the Role’s Main Purpose

The instore advertising manager is responsible for the design, production and delivery of all externally printed advertising to stores

Manage the design and creative for all instore communication
Responsible for the delivery of all areas of externally printed advertising landing instore
Support the events team to land market leading events in store
Support the wider business, in particular trading, to land their messages and communications instore in an appropriate way
Manage POS warehouse and store orders
Manage budgets ensuring spend on all activity is accurately recorded and in line with budgets
Continuously review kit of parts and ways of working to ensure the service we are providing to stores is the simplest and most cost effective across all of the above

Principal Accountabilities
  • Lead a team of 3 designers to produce creative and effective designs for all events executed in our stores
  • To be the main contact supporting the events team landing POS to support customer plan instore
  • To be the main contact for all areas of the business wanting to land a communication instore, helping communications that align with the customer plan and challenging those that should go through other channels
  • Manage third party supplier with a team of 20 onsite to produce all artwork for instore communication in time for deadlines set out by our printers
  • Manage print supplier to ensure all advertising is produced to a high quality, fit for purpose and is dispatched on time in a simple way for stores to execute
  • Manage third party delivery provider to ensure all dispatches land instore on time and ensure they provide a good service to stores through helpline
  • Manage POS warehouse, stock and helpline to ensure they are in a position to provide a good service to stores
  • Ensure all spend is inline with budgets and work closely with marketing finance teams to accurately track and report this
Measures of Success
  • All externally printed POS lands instore on time, correct and in a simple way for stores to implement
  • Positive feedback from retail on POS landing instore
  • Market leading creative and theatre drives successful commercials for seasonal events
  • All third party suppliers hit key KPIs and provide a good service to all colleagues who use them
  • Positive feedback from all areas of business on support provided to land communication instore
  • Spend accurately tracked and POS delivered in line with budget
  • Positive talkback and 360 feedback measures from team
