What you'll be doing
In this pivotal role at the heart of the largest change programme in Sainsbury's history, you will have the opportunity to support key decisions on the major "Win in Food" strategy and gain exposure to multiple stakeholders across all functions in the broader group. As a Space Co-ordinator, your primary responsibility will be to support the Macro Space programme of change across GM&C space, ensuring the successful delivery of the corporate strategy. Your detailed oriented mindset will be critical in ensuring multiple data sources are collated accurately to maintain our Non-Food Investment tracker. You will take responsibility for communication of all GM&C space and range changes by generating picksheets, working with A&R, Display Planning and Property ensuring the right ranges land at the right times as stores go through space changes. Additionally, you will utilise your analytical prowess through continuous evaluation of store and category performance to identify opportunities to improve space utilization. Supporting the Macro Space Analyst and Macro Space Manager, you will work to deliver incremental sales, volume, and profit growth by creating optimal space allocations to achieve the best commercial and customer outcomes, contributing to key programmes impacting GM & Clothing space.
Who you are
As a vital member of the Macro Space team, you are a detail-oriented and highly organised individual with strong analytical and numerical skills with a good understanding of the commercial and broader grocery, GM and Clothing markets. With your excellent communication and networking skills, you collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various functions to deliver the GM&C space changes in our stores. Your strong organisation and time management skills, coupled with proficiency in MS Office (essential) and Microstrategy (desirable), allow you to effectively manage projects and meet critical deadlines. Your skill in data manipulation and analysis enables you to provide valuable insights and recommendations to support with key decisions on the major "Win in Food" strategy. In this role you will continuously develop your expertise in space recommendations and excel in balancing measures related to customer choice, financial performance, and operational compliance, you contribute to the success of the largest change programme in Sainsbury's history.
