In a nutshell
As a Deputy Showroom Manager you will support in managing the Habitat Digital Showroom team to deliver sales and cost targets, leading by example you will provide a video shopping experience for all customers. You will respond to, influence, and convert customer sales enquiries whilst delivering an outstanding level of customer service.
You will work as part of a close-knit, dedicated team all working and winning together and have support on hand; but we’ll also trust you to use your own initiative. It’s about making a difference to everyone around you.
What you need to do
- Be responsible for driving agreed retail and digital outcomes focused on Customers, Financial, Operational and Colleagues.
- Work with the Showroom Operations Manager to create, develop and implement the new digital showroom concept, encompassing seasonal refreshes and layouts throughout the year.
- Leading and role modelling through the valued behaviours, building trust to accelerate cultural transformation and supporting an inclusive culture within the digital showroom.
- Leading and deliver great service and service leadership to ensure the showroom colleagues deliver a first-class digital customer experience through the Go-Instore service, measured through CSAT and KPI available reporting.
- Drive the conversion of digital contact into profitable sales, within controllable costs targets.
- Ensure the showrooms operate within company policies and procedures, meeting all legal requirements including Health & Safety, Financial Services, mitigating any relevant risk.
- Support key strategic initiatives that will deliver business improvements or requirements across the digital showroom operation.
- Strong communication skills with customers and colleagues ensuring you value and understand their viewpoint and react accordingly.
- Receive and share information and feedback from customers in a positive and timely manner to improve experiences on video calls and online.
- Keep up with and have an interest in seasonal trends and brand activity
What you need to know and show
A collaborative and engaging leadership style, with a thorough understanding of the business
performance measures and strong commercial acumen - able to effectively communicate
expectations and maximise the performance of direct reports within the digital showroom.
A self-directed subject matter expert on all aspects of Habitat retail operational processes, policies
and standards, with the ability and confidence to make day to day operational decisions, at pace,
that ensure the smooth running of the operational business.

Performance management of colleagues within the team

The role has direct line management responsibility for the digital showroom colleagues.
