Why join us
Joining our team at Sainsbury's as a Transformation Manager presents a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of driving impactful change and growth within a dynamic and innovative business environment. As part of our newly-formed Business Transformation team, you will have the chance to influence and shape strategies that will enhance our customer experience and ensure long-term sustainability. Collaborating closely with stakeholders at all levels, you will lead complex programmes with agility and strategic foresight, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. This role offers the platform to make a real difference, apply end-to-end strategic thinking, and drive transformative initiatives that will leave a lasting impact on the organisation and the customers we serve.

This is a fixed term contract role for up to 12 months.

What you'll do
Here you will play a critical role in the new Business Transformation team, collaborating with various business functions to translate the company's strategy into impactful programmes that facilitate business growth and enhance the customer experience. Reporting to the Head of Transformation, you will lead agile teams in driving our 3- to 5-year Transformation agenda, working closely with stakeholders at all levels to accelerate change and innovation. With a focus on thought leadership, strategic programme management, and fostering a transformation mindset, you will navigate ambiguity, drive change at pace, and engage cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes and drive the company's sustainable competitiveness and profitability over time.

Who you are
You are a strategic thinker with a growth mindset and a passion for driving end-to-end transformational change. With a strong background in change or programme management, you excel at formulating and implementing major change projects, leveraging data, insights, and external innovation to make informed decisions. Your ability to challenge the status quo, connect strategic issues, and communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation enables you to lead cross-functional teams, shape narratives, and drive complex programmes of work that accelerate business growth and deliver sustainable value.
