Organic Social Media Lead

What you'll do

As the Organic Social Media Lead at Sainsbury's and Nectar, you will be responsible for managing the organic social media presence across all platforms, driving the strategy, content, and overall social agenda to create an innovative and impactful social media presence with platform-first creative. Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, you will set and review the social media strategy annually, manage relationships with creative agencies and platform partners, develop and implement creative campaigns, oversee social commerce strategy, select social media management tools, track and report on social activity, ensure social governance compliance, collaborate with the media agency on test and learn plans, manage budgets, and lead social campaigns from ideation to execution. Additionally, you will leverage your experience in leading social channels, line management, team development, stakeholder management, and creative agency management to drive successful outcomes in the fast-paced digital landscape, demonstrating a passion for social media, customer-centric approach, and strong commercial acumen.

Who you are

As the Organic Social Media Lead for Sainsbury's and Nectar, you are a seasoned professional with a deep passion for social media, content creation and a strong track record of leading successful social channels within large organisations. With your expertise in developing high-performing teams, managing creative agencies, and driving innovative social strategies, you play a pivotal role in shaping the social media presence and driving impactful campaigns across various platforms. Your customer-centric approach, commercial acumen, and ability to make strategic decisions under pressure demonstrate your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver exceptional results in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Essential criteria

  • Experience leading a social channel in a large organisation.
  • Experience managing creative agencies.
  • Knowledge of social media tools and platforms (e.g. Sprout).
  • Experience within the food/or retail sector.
  • Experience planning and delivering content across social channels.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating organic social creative for brands you have worked on
