Variety is the word in Sainsbury’s Product Ownership. But what brings all of our product owners together, is the idea of putting the customer where it matters – right at the heart of everything.

We’re bringing fresh new products to the business, every day. We’re also evolving our existing offering to differentiate Sainsbury’s from the rest of the world. As you can imagine, that makes coming to work here inspiring, challenging – and loads of fun.

As product owners, we spin so many plates. Listening to and acting on what our customers want. Bringing business stakeholders and delivery teams together to solve things. And keeping abreast of technology to provide vision and direction. But we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We’re the facilitators, the conductors – and we’re accountable for getting stuff done. So we own it. And together with the rest of our colleagues, we’re proudly changing the way the UK shops.

Right now, we’re leading on a number of fantastic initiatives. Take ‘Future Food’. This will provide Sainsbury’s with the commercial capability to be more competitive in today’s and tomorrow’s channels. Meanwhile, ‘SMART store’ will make running a Sainsbury’s store simpler and more intuitive, through targeted insight.
