Job Description

CR&S Manager – 12 month Fixed Term Contract


In the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability team, we protect and enhance the reputation of our brand.  We work with those in our business and supply chains to ensure we operate in an ethical and sustainable way and strive to protect our planet for future generations.  We look after all aspects of corporate responsibility and sustainability and work to improve the lives of the people in the communities we serve and source from.  We have a varied and diverse workload looking at matters such as climate change, waste and biodiversity as well as labour practices across our global supply chain.



As our CR&S Manager you’ll:

Work with the Head of CR&S Programme on all aspects of our Governance. reporting and communication.  This includes the engagement of internal and external stakeholders in the development of our future strategies and the delivery of our existing plans to ensure we are delivering for our business and stakeholders now and in the future.

Set agendas, develop content and materials and provide actions and minutes for the relevant governance forums related to CR&S.

Deliver the overall group reporting for CR&S ensuring we are clear on our reporting obligations and working with the rest of the business to disclose at the agreed moments. 

Work to curate and collate content and copywrite reports working closely with experts on CR&S topics e.g., for Annual Report, CDP, Modern Slavery.

Ensure we have a robust reporting verification process for all CR&S comms.

Mange the CR&S section of the Corporate site making sure it is fit for purpose for our stakeholder groups as well as ensuring it is kept up to date and adding valuable content.

Work closely with ADA, finance and Commercial ops in the development of the appropriate management information and tools to enable the rest of the business to deliver to the plan.  Work with all stakeholders to define requirements and centrally coordinate the delivery.

Ensure effective oversight and tracking of mandatory training and legislation delivery within the business.

Stay updated with best practice in reporting and disclosure.

Support Head of CR&S Programme, SME’s and Director of CR&S in the strategy development process to ensure continuous improvement of our plan. 

Work to develop and deliver our multi stakeholder engagement plan to ensure we get credit for our efforts, upskill and inspire critical stakeholders and build trust and commitment for our plans.

Ensure a clear pipeline of activity is developed and that stories are shared with the wider business and that there is a clear comms & engagement plan for these stories. 

Ensure we are building an archive of stories, assets, proof points and activity which can be readily accessible to our business

Support on the development and activation of CR&S events and internal and external engagements.


Our Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Team would love to see candidates that have:

Familiar with the complexities of a large customer-focused business, delivering results at a rapid pace

Proven experience of developing and delivering a strategic approach within a wider business agenda and project management.

Senior stakeholder management and effectively influencing around an agenda

Project management experience and ideally experience in event management.

Experienced at managing complex projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders

Being able to tell a complex story in a simple way to a wide range of stakeholders

Capable of training, coaching, and providing on-going support to both internal and external stakeholders 

Ability to communicate at all levels
