Sainsbury’s Property division is responsible for all Sainsbury’s trading and non-trading property assets, including supermarkets, convenience stores, Argos and offices, industrial and retail depots. It all adds up to give us responsibility for the 4th largest retail estate by number of shops (Over 2,100, and still growing).

 As a Retail Brand Delivery Coordinator you’ll be accountable for the delivery of our agreed store design standards, principles and specification, supporting the Formats & Design team delivering new trials in our key investment stores.  Using creative judgement, you’ll uphold and apply Sainsbury’s Group Store Design Standards (Supermarket, Argos and Convenience formats) and those of other third-party brands, through the investment programme. As a proactive communicator, you will need to build strong relationships with Property and Retail delivery teams, Procurement and the Store Design teams. You’ll also provide the right levels of upskilling, documentation and process framework to enable retail colleagues to successfully operate the store and deliver our latest thinking of what makes a ‘supermarket’, where customers and colleagues love to shop and work. 

 

More about the role:

  • Produce timely, compelling, and brand compliant store designs for all investment stores shown on the investment programme that require Design Pack support for branding/signage
  • Use the store design standards/principles, your creative judgement and the store specific detail into account to propose and deliver the right solution on a store by store basis
  • Work with the design agencies (producing the store specific design packs), signage contractors and internal stakeholders to enable delivery of: Site surveys, Internal and External Design Packs, progress updates and post implementation reviews/snagging
  • Work with the Property PM to ensure that the Format & Design specifications are applied correctly during the store specific works, reviews/snagging post implementation and make recommendations on improvements as well as escalating poor/incorrect installation
  • Manage the Snag, Learn & Develop process to rectify issues and capture learnings for future schemes to deliver our goal of making every store we touch even better than the last

 

More about you:

  • Experience/knowledge of store design, interiors and brand implementation and delivery
  • Ability to work with internal and external teams to a defined process to hit timelines and budgets,
  • Proven ability to deliver a number of projects at once and on time, ensuring stakeholder engagement and support is upheld throughout delivery at the appropriate touch points
  • Ability to engage, challenge and communicate with and manage expectations of Format Planning team lead and external stake holders up to SM level
  • Not afraid to propose taking calculated risks and to try new things using previous experience and challenge the status quo to make others around them think differently
  • Demonstrable winning attitude and visible drive in achieving objectives and obtaining results.
