Job Description

You will be leading transformation projects at the heart of our Save to Invest Targets market leading Sainsburys Strategy. In a market which is dynamic and constantly changing, the Supply Chain and Logistics Change team are proactive and responsive in leading our operational team through our change journey. The role enables you to interface with a breadth of stakeholder across the business at all levels, influencing Senior Managers to land critical project decisions at pace.

What you need to do

  • To plan the design, development and implementation of change project activity in order to deliver defined benefits on time and within budget as per agreed business plans
  • Ensures change management effort is timely, integrated with other project initiatives and considers capability to execute and sustain via engagement at all levels including third party partners and suppliers where appropriate
  • To articulate the detailed project objectives, scope, approach and benefits to be delivered using the Project Management best practice including responsibility for preparing, distributing and communicating progress across the function
  • Identify and escalate issues and risks faced by the project, proposing resolutions and mitigating actions, and escalating where required
  • To monitor and report project progress against milestones and defined targets and identify corrective action where results are falling short of expectations within Working and Steering groups
  • Define team member roles and expectations and provide timely feedback
  • Responsible for coaching stakeholders including external parties, cross divisional and logistics functions
