FAQs

What types of roles are available?

We’ve got a variety of roles on offer, from store-based colleagues to home delivery drivers, and in our Argos Local Fulfilment Centres. If you don’t see something that suits you right now, keep checking back as we’re adding new roles all the time. You can also sign up for job alerts through our Talent Community here.

Some of our roles fill quickly, so we recommend completing your application as soon as you can.

What is the application process?

You’ll start with an online application, where we’ll ask for some basic information and a few questions to check the role is right for you. Don’t worry, you won’t need to upload a CV.

For store-based roles, you’ll then complete a short online assessment (around 20 minutes). It’s best to do this somewhere quiet. Before you start, you’ll watch a short video that shows you more about the role and gives clear instructions on how to complete the assessment.

If your application is successful, you may be invited to an interview at the store or site you’ve applied for. This is your chance to find out more about what it’s like to work with us, and for us to get to know you too.

Can I apply for more than one role?
We’d encourage you to only apply once for each role in a specific location, as some may be advertised more than once due to different shifts. If you’re flexible with hours, let the hiring team know during your interview so they can try to find the best fit for you.
How long will it take before I receive an update?
If you’re successful at interview, we’ll be in touch as soon as we can with the outcome. Because we receive a lot of applications, you might not always hear back straight away if you’ve been unsuccessful.
What are the typical working hours?
Shift patterns are shown on each job advert so you’ll know what to expect. These can include early starts, evenings and weekends. They may also change depending on the needs of the store or site, and your availability.
Who do I contact if I have any application questions?
If you’d like an update on your application, please get in touch directly with the store or site you’ve applied to. You can find contact details for Sainsbury’s stores here and Argos stores here.
Can I get support with my application?
Absolutely. We want everyone to feel supported and able to do their best. If you need any adjustments during the process, just let us know in your application and we’ll put them in place for you.
What should I do if I was unable to complete the online assessment within 48 hours and the link has now expired?
Unfortunately, we can’t extend the time for assessments. But you’re welcome to apply for another vacancy that’s advertised.
What should I do if I cannot launch the online assessment?

If the assessment won’t start after the introduction video, make sure you’ve watched the video right to the end, then click the ‘continue’ button. This should take you into the assessment.

If you’re still having issues, you can contact the support team directly here.
