What you'll do
As a Data Visualisation and Automation Manager at Sainsbury's, you will be responsible for working within the CDAO organisation to produce data products that support the delivery of the company's business strategy goals. Working in an Agile framework, you will collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to identify value-creating opportunities and deliver automation, reporting, and visualisation capabilities that meet their requirements. Managing and leading a team, both on- and off-shore, you will prioritise requirements, create a roadmap of activities, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of outstanding products. Additionally, you will drive innovation on the central reporting platform, grow your team's capability to deliver powerful and insightful visual outputs, and contribute to the development of community practises for data visualisation and enhanced platform design and delivery. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to distil complex technical delivery into simple deliverables, engage and influence stakeholders, recruit and lead a capable team, drive value into the business, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate flexibility and initiative in a fast-paced environment.

As the Data Visualisation and Automation Manager for Sainsbury's, you are an experienced professional with a proven track record in delivering automated, compelling, and insightful solutions to surface key trends and patterns for end stakeholders. With a strong understanding of the tools, technologies, and data structures involved in reporting, automation, and visualisation, you possess the ability to create efficient and scalable data products that support the achievement of our business strategy goals. Your proactive and initiative-driven approach, coupled with your exceptional communication and influencing skills, allow you to effectively engage and influence senior stakeholders as well as present complex concepts to large teams. With a commercial mindset and the determination to challenge the norm, you thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, driving innovation and delivering impactful results.
