In a nutshell

You will be working in one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas of the Sainsbury’s business, supporting us in driving significant profit growth from Nectar360’s loyalty, data, insights, and retail media offering.  
You will be responsible for supporting and executing our B2B marketing strategy and resulting communications to our B2B audience.  You will deliver against the B2B marketing strategy, bringing your own style, expertise and ideas to the role to deliver our objectives and ambitious growth aspirations.  
This includes supporting the B2B Marketing Manager in communicating to our key audiences internally and externally and developing relevant collateral and campaigns across all our channels N360, supporting and executing on events as well as internal processes. This role is key to supporting the execution of our growth initiatives and building our reputation both internally and externally. 
This role requires the development of strong relationships across a large network including Nectar360’s internal teams, leadership team, the wider Sainsbury’s business and with external agency partners.  


What I am accountable for  

  • You will play a key role in supporting, executing and promoting our transformative thinking & strategy across our 4 strategic priorities – (1) grow the Nectar coalition (2) develop & scale our Retail Media offering (3) win in data and insight & (4) digitise in-store media.  
  • Execute effective marketing strategies demonstrating a thorough understanding of the business, market and its challenges. You will handle marketing activity and efforts including campaigns, marketing processes and events for brand awareness and demand generation to increase the level of understanding of Nectar360’s work internally and externally.
  • Understand our strategic brand positioning and support in the implementation of the B2B communication programmes to successfully deliver against KPIs.  
  • Liaise with all Nectar360 team and beyond to ensure good coverage of our B2B activity and to enhance the awareness of our services, work closely with sales/client services to ensure we are driving pipeline, revenue and ROI.
  • Contribute to new processes within the B2B marketing team including campaigns, demand generation and marketing tech-stack and reporting.  
  • Be a brand champion and advocate internally and externally for the Nectar360 brand, following brand guidelines and ensuring brand governance across the business.
  • Elevate Nectar360 presence by supporting and co-ordinating relevant and timely client events, webinars, newsletters, and seasonal insight reviews ensuring it is kept up-to-date and relevant for our target audiences.
  • Work closely with our agency (social, website, PR) teams to brief and develop media content for B2B audience and execute plans across all channels including web site development and content curation/creation, and sales collateral.
  • Support on the deliverables for the events calendar (presence, attendance and speaking opportunities) including pre-event, during event and post event follow up.  
  • Ensure all marketing activity is delivered accurately on time, on budget, and aligns with key events in accordance with Nectar360 brand guidelines. 
  • Put into practice a plan for measuring and reporting on B2B marketing activities.
  • Support in co-ordinating our annual client survey, including collating and sharing results.
  • Continually monitor, evaluate and report on competitors’ and industry marketing activity as well as help to identify trends to inform strategic decision making.
  • Required to be involved with general marketing activities on an ad hoc basis, including attending events.
  • Working in line with our financial reporting processes and raising PO’s.


What I need to know  

  • Experience in a B2B campaign, data-driven and/or digital marketing role or relevant, practical experience.
  • Strategic marketeer with a track record of successfully delivering B2B marketing plans and communications in a large matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders on time and within budget.
  • Creative thinker able to bring new and innovative ideas that will capture the attention of our target audiences.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Strong understanding of reporting and marketing KPI’s.
  • Independence of thought to maximise opportunities, with the confidence to experiment and act on opportunities.  
  • Understanding of how your role and team fits into the bigger Sainsbury’s business picture and the interdependencies.  
  • Awareness of your impact on others and commitment to ongoing personal development.  
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
