In a nutshell

You will be working in one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas of the Sainsbury’s business, supporting us in driving significant profit growth from Nectar360’s loyalty, data, insights, and retail media offering.  
You will be responsible for supporting and executing our B2B marketing strategy and resulting communications to our B2B audience.  You will deliver against the B2B marketing strategy, including social media and content, bringing your own style, expertise and ideas to the role in order to deliver our objectives and ambitious growth aspirations.  
This includes supporting the B2B Marketing Manager in communicating to our key audiences internally and externally and developing relevant collateral across all our N360 channels, supporting and executing on events as well as internal processes. This role is key to supporting the execution of our growth initiatives and building our reputation both internally and externally. 
This role requires the development of strong relationships across a large network including Nectar360’s internal teams, leadership team, the wider Sainsbury’s business and with external agency partners.  


What I am accountable for  

  • You will play a key role in supporting, executing and promoting our transformative thinking & strategy across our 4 strategic priorities – (1) grow the Nectar coalition (2) develop & scale our Retail Media offering (3) win in data and insight & (4) digitise in-store media.  
  • Create and execute effective organic social media marketing strategies demonstrating a thorough understanding of the business, market and its challenges.
  • Understand our strategic brand positioning and execute on the organic social media plan and resulting B2B communications.  
  • Aid in the production of engaging content and proactively liaise with all Nectar360 team and beyond to ensure we are creating a good coverage of content of our B2B activity, this will involve talking to wider teams to generate ideas, creating social posts, web copy, blog ideas and support in video content to enhance the awareness of our services to help generate demand across N360 owned channels.  
  • You will be a brand champion and advocate, ensure all content created is on brand and follows brand guidelines and TOV.  
  • Contribute to the creation and on-going plan of the social media and content strategy and work cross collaboratively with the social media agency.  
  • Elevate Nectar360 presence by supporting in the creation of relevant and timely client events, webinars, newsletters, and seasonal insight reviews ensuring it is kept up-to-date and relevant for our target audiences.  
  • Work very closely with our agency (social, website, PR) teams to brief and develop media content for B2B audience and execute plans across all relevant channels e.g. social, web site development and content curation/creation.  
  • Create a calendar of opportunities for social media, maximising on those Nectar360 ‘big moments’, events, wider industry events and more.  
  • Support in identifying relevant awards and writing award submissions.  
  • Ensure all activity is delivered accurately on time, on budget, and aligns with key events in accordance with Nectar360 brand guidelines.  
  • Put into practice a plan for measuring and reporting on B2B social media and content activities.  
  • Support in co-ordinating our annual client survey, including collating and sharing results.
  • Continually monitor, evaluate and report on competitors’ industry social media and marketing activity.  
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and develop innovative ideas for engagement.  
  • Required to be involved with general marketing activities on an ad hoc basis, including attending events.  
  • Work in line with our financial reporting and processes and raising PO’s.  


What I need to know  

  • Strong understand of analytics and tracking and reporting on ROI, keyword and hashtag optimisation to effectively optimise social profiles and posts for discoverability.  
  • Knowledge and understanding of a variety of current social media platforms.  
  • Strong communication and writing skills with an eye for detail.
  • Deep understanding of how social media channels connect to businesses mission and purpose.
  • Strategic marketeer that is data and results driven with a creative flare.  
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple different stakeholders.  
  • Creative thinker able to bring new and innovative ideas that will capture the attention of our target audiences.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and influencing skills.  
  • Independence of thought to maximise opportunities, with the confidence to experiment and act on opportunities.  
  • Understanding of how your role and team fits into the bigger Sainsbury’s business picture and the interdependencies.  
  • Awareness of your impact on others and commitment to ongoing personal development.  
     

Essential

  • Experience in a B2B marketing role managing social media channels including LinkedIn, or relevant practical experience.  
  • Practical experience in working to B2B social media and content strategies.
  • Proficient copy writing skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.


Desirable  

Experience using design tools e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud
