The Argos Transformation sits within the Argos business unit, directly partnering with business leaders and teams to drive our ambitious and exciting More Argos More Often, whole business, Transformation Strategy. Working hand in hand with each of the business functions, this team are responsible for taking our strategy and translating this into programmes of work and driving the execution of these plans at pace to accelerate the transformation of our business, growing our business to deliver a better proposition and experience for our customers, enabling us to compete sustainably and more profitably over time.
Working for the Head of Programme Integration, you will be at the heart of helping the Director of Transformation and the Argos leadership team to shape and deliver our 3+ year Transformation agenda. As part of a small, but mighty, team you will help ensure we have ‘one version of the truth’ in your priority area, bringing together our Transformation plans, in-flight activity, and articulating how we are tracking in terms of delivery.
You will be the heartbeat of the programme, providing oversight, connectivity, and value-add reporting, allowing you to drive action at pace across teams and our most senior Argos leaders, holding them and others to account to deliver on the exciting plans which we have committed to. You will help drive fantastic engagement with colleagues & leadership across the Programme, ensuring the programme remains on track, accelerating decision making and approvals to achieve the right outcomes on time. You will spot opportunities to optimise our plans and identify risks early driving cross functional teams to build mitigation plans to keep the programme on track. Whilst you will have a senior business sponsor(s) for the programme outcomes you are driving, you will work alongside business teams and senior business leaders and work closely with Heads of Transformation, Transformation Managers, Head of Portfolio and other Programme Integration roles to drive the right connections.
As the face of the programme, you will galvanise others behind change, championing a Transformation mindset and encouraging collaborative & end-to-end ways of working. You will demonstrate proactive drive, organisation and curiosity in your approach and will lead by example.
What you need to do
Brilliant strategic programme management: Supporting change delivery at pace through excellent cross-functional working
- Own the programmes of change which you are responsible for, facilitating and managing senior programme forums to facilitate progress and decisions and action and provide transparency on progress
- Provide a one-stop-shop for all Transformation activity related to your programmes, giving confidence and clarity around programmes, benefit delivery and any actions required to bring us back on track and optimise outcomes
- Connect individual initiatives through key dependency mapping identifying cross functional actions required to manage the dependencies and optimise our plans at the same time as ensuing cross functional resource requirements (capital, people) are well understood
- To support this, complete the programme management basics to a high standard; ensure consistent data capture, programme information and understanding across your priority areas, document & manage interdependencies, within the programmes you are supporting, own programme RAID logs & mitigation plans, supporting issue resolution at pace.
- Support creation of clear & regular reporting that is value add for the Programme & leadership teams.
- Manage and continuously improve the process & tooling requirements to support the best engagement and programme outcomes possible
- Manage the right metrics to measure progress of delivery against our Transformation agenda & key outcomes, including both customer metrics and financial metrics
E2E Connectivity & leadership: Create a brilliant network to align outcomes, improve connectivity and support knowledge sharing
Drive regular, high-quality engagement with key business and transformation leaders to stay abreast of key programme developments & ensure a broad understand across our transformation programmes
Connect across other Programme Integration Managers to better connect our transformation programmes across all of More Argos More Often
Work closely with the Transformation Portfolio Office to develop & leverage best practice, driving consistency across our Portfolio.
What you need to know and show

- Successful experience of working on implementation of major Change projects and programmes across multiple functions. (essential)
