What you'll do
As the Senior External Campaigns Manager at Sainsbury's, reporting to the Head of External Campaigns, your role will encompass delivering all campaign activity related to the company's purpose and its commitment to securing a resilient UK food system. Working closely with the Head of External Campaigns, you will develop and deliver a thought leadership campaign that brings the company's purpose to life, ensuring that it is widely understood by both media and corporate audiences. This will involve managing the delivery of a campaigns plan, creating communications in multiple formats, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, engaging relevant media contacts, and positioning Sainsbury's as a champion of the UK food system. Additionally, you will lead, guide, and support your team, fostering a high-performing and innovative environment that aligns with the business priorities.
Who you are
You are an experienced and purpose-driven communications professional within a FTSE100 or FTSE250 environment. With your expertise in managing impactful campaigns and thought leadership, you possess the ability to distil complex information and create compelling messages that resonate with diverse audiences. Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enable you to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media contacts, while effectively positioning Sainsbury's as a purpose-led business with a focus on sustainability and the UK food system. With your strategic mindset and ability to prioritise and work under pressure, you deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines and contribute to maintaining a drumbeat of positive storytelling that highlights Sainsbury's role in creating a resilient food system. As a leader, you provide guidance and support to your team, fostering a high-performing and innovative environment that aligns with the business priorities.
