As a Test Engineer at Sainsbury’s you would get the opportunity to define and deliver on a test strategy that progresses Sainsbury’s automation testing capabilities, be responsible for end-to-end integration and regression testing of systems across Sainsbury’s. This includes front end customer facing channels, order management, warehousing and store support systems - all to ensure great new features and services get delivered to our customers and colleagues flawlessly. The successful candidate would need to be able to demonstrate confidence in delivering multiple functional tests (API, e2e, regression). Great communication and time management skills are essential. Your duties would include manual testing, designing automation scripts, finding solutions for expanding our testing capabilities, and working closely with the wider development team to deliver shared projects. 

 

Who you are 

You are a skilled testing professional with experience in manual and automation, candidates must bring energy, self-motivation and have a pro-active approach.  

Essential Experience: 

Solid engineering and coding experience in Java

Expertise with one of the following testing frameworks such as Selenium

Manual and Automation expertise 

Knowledge of Gituhub or Jenkins 

Experience with Jira & Confluence for ticket / documentation 

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, product and leadership. 

Able to write concisely and maintain technical documentation. 

Knowledge of Agile software development practices, especially SCRUM
