Nectar 360 - Digital Senior Client Manager
12 month secondment / Fixed Term Contract
Nectar360’s vision is to be the most powerful insight and data-led media services agency in the country, creating valuable relationships between the UK’s favourite brands and their customers to help them live well for less. Digital is a key and growing part of the Nectar360 business, receiving substantial investment to develop and take to market a digital media buying platform – the Digital Trading Platform (DTP). Through its powerful data assets Nectar360 is able to target and measure display, social and TV campaigns. This capability is hugely sought-after by Nectar360 and FMCG/GM clients, agencies and our Nectar partners.
This role is within our agency team – ensuring we are delivering against our revenue targets, whilst offering great client service. This role is key to the growth of the Digital business area responsible for its own agency patch, whilst also supporting our FMCG clients.
The role forms part of the Nectar360 Commercial team and provides services to some of the biggest brands in the world. Your role requires exceptional organisational skills and leadership capabilities in order to deliver optimum support for our client’s campaigns. You will be a work within the Digital Agency team, able to work independently and represent Nectar360 at all levels. This is a great role for someone to step up into to give the foundations for development as well as line management experience.
What you need to do
With a technical and commercial understanding of the Digital Media space, you will need to be able to ‘sell’ Nectar360’s digital proposition and services externally to agencies and direct to clients and partners as required.
In this role you will run your own agency patch, overseen by the Digital Client Director, ensuring Nectar360 can deliver revenue and profit from your group.
- Revenue – Digital & Ecommerce Platforms: You will work to hit your agency targets across our digital propositions, being the face of these to agencies. You will ensure focus is maintained on objectives that will have the biggest impact for the business. This will include selling and maintaining growing relationships with your already established agency contacts, plus reaching out to cold contacts to grow the pipeline. This will be delivered through a combination of clearly explaining the proposition and assisting with the appropriate materials to successfully sell.
- Strategy: Deliver against the Digital team’s strategy, being clear on the role you can play and how to articulate this to your agencies.
- Product Development: Input into the new campaign propositions that Nectar360 takes to market through DTP from an agency perspective and feed this into the Digital Client Director.
- Campaign Execution: Feed into the pipeline and ensure alignment with the Digital Trading Manager’s capacity prior to committing to clients. Provide timely feedback from your contacts to ensure our trading team are providing the best possible implementation service to your clients.
- Leadership: Lead your team by ensuring they are clear on the Digital strategy set by the department head, and your local team strategy set by the Digital Client Director. Create a positive environment to ensure you can hit your goals. Focus on development to ensure we continue to nurture and develop talent.
What you need to know and show
Essential
- Proven experience in Digital Media; a strong digital commercial capability is essential.
- Relevant online advertising sales experience - familiarity and knowledge of the media agency landscape is crucial.
- Very organised, efficient and can manage multiple situations in a demanding environment and the ability to cope under pressure.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and changing situations.
- High level of resilience and tenacity required – must be able to deal with challenge from across the business whilst maintaining a positive and proactive style.
- Independence of thought and the ability to work independently.
- You will need excellent verbal and written communication to promote the opportunity with agency contacts.
- Everything will need to be delivered with integrity and you will need to take the accountability for the delivery of results from yourself and your team.
- Enthusiastic about developing your career and being hands-on in establishing a new and exciting part of the business.
Desirable
- Experience of working with FMCG and Retail clients via their agencies.
- Experience working with an online retailer and using online analytics.

- Responsibility (in alignment with the Digital Client Director) on sales pipeline and new opportunities
- Ownership of agency patch with associated budget
