Sainsbury's Tech - Hardware Asset Management
The HAM Coordinator role is part of the Asset Management team in the wider Service Operation division and reports into HAM Manager. As a member of the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) team you’ll be supporting the day-to-day running of the team activities to improve HAM within the business.
The individual will be a highly motivated and detail-oriented member of the HAM team. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating the asset register (CMDB), liaising with multiple stakeholder groups including suppliers, conducting auditing activities of assets, and ensuring SLA adherence. This role is focused on providing administrative support to maintain asset inventory accuracy and effectiveness of our hardware asset management processes.
What I am accountable for
- Responsible for regularly updating the Asset Register (CMDB) to reflect accurate and current information. Ensure that all changes to hardware assets are documented and verified for compliance.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with various stakeholder groups, including suppliers, internal departments, and external partners. Communicate effectively to address and resolve asset-related inquiries and issues.
- Perform regular audits of hardware assets to verify their accuracy, quality and compliance with HAM policies and processes. Raise discrepancies and support corrective actions as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring the asset lifecycle is managed effectively, auditing from acquisition to disposal and to assist maximising asset utilisation and data accuracy.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the service request processes and ticket management. Address and resolve any SLA breaches in a timely manner.
- Produce and maintain detailed reports, dashboards and documentation related to HAM activities. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all records.
- Support with opportunities for process improvements (CSIP) within the hardware asset management function and contribute to improvement suggestions.
- Ensure all hardware asset management activities comply with relevant policies, standards, and regulations.
- Assist with documentation and guidance to help colleagues and stakeholders on hardware asset management processes and tools.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse data and identify trends and discrepancies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Able to collaborate colleagues and partners to support the HAM processes.
Desirable
- Familiarity with ITIL practices
- Certified ITIL4 Foundation
- Hardware Asset Management Fundamentals
- Proficiency in using asset management toolsets and software, including CMS system.
