Sainsbury's Tech - Workforce & Cost Optimisation Analyst
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the accurate payment of suppliers by raising and receipting purchase orders and managing a consolidated work order process for Time and Materials colleagues who submit timesheets. This role contributes to the efficiency and financial accuracy of the department, supporting the wider business goals of Sainsbury’s by maintaining robust financial controls and processes.

What I am accountable for
• Raise and receipt purchase orders: Ensure all purchase orders are accurately raised and receipted within the agreed timescales
• Manage work order process: Oversee the consolidated work order process for the accurate payment for Time and Materials (T&M) colleagues from a number of our key suppliers, ensuring all statements of work are created and processed correctly.
• Supplier payment accuracy: Ensure all supplier payments are accurate and processed within agreed timelines.
• Reporting: Provide ad hoc reports and updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Workforce Data: At times you may need to support your Lead with the management of Workforce data
• Problem resolution: Resolve any issues related to purchase orders, timesheets, and supplier payments through established processes and experience.
• Stakeholder communication: Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of payment processes.
• Compliance: Ensure all payment processes comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Continuous improvement: Identify and implement improvements to payment processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Training and support: Provide training and support to colleagues on payment processes and systems.
What I need to know
Essential
• Strong technical skills in payment systems and software.
• Strong knowledge of payment processes and controls.
• Experience in managing supplier payments and purchase orders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder management.
Desirable
• Experience in a similar role within a large organization.
• Knowledge of Sainsbury’s financial systems and processes.
