What you'll do
As the Electrical Engineering Design Manager at Sainsbury's, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of all electrical and associated systems across the company's sites. Your role will involve ensuring that engineering designs and installations comply with UK and EC legislation, driving continuous improvement plans to meet specified standards, and providing expertise on lighting designs used across the business. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver cost-effective engineering solutions while maintaining safety and equipment performance standards, and you will play a key role in identifying areas for improvement in electrical and associated systems productivity. Additionally, you will drive innovation and sustainable solutions to support the company's Net Zero commitments and ensure the highest standards of customer care are maintained. Your strong commercial skills, project management expertise, and technical knowledge will be essential in achieving optimal life cycle costs and quality of service delivery while minimising environmental impact.
Who you are
As an Electrical Engineering Design Manager, you are a highly skilled professional with a strong background in electrical building services engineering and a deep understanding of energy and environmental legislation within a commercial context. Your expertise in managing electrical design projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving innovation in sustainable solutions aligns with our commitment to delivering high-quality service while minimising environmental impact. With your exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills, you play a crucial role in developing and implementing cost-effective engineering solutions that meet the company's objectives and strategic goals.
