What you'll do

As a Research Associate within the Nectar Research team at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in supporting all stages of research projects, from design to reporting back to clients and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day trackers, ensuring high-quality research is conducted according to industry best practises, and transforming data into actionable insights through effective storytelling and critical thinking. By leveraging your expertise in research methodologies and project management, you will contribute to the team's ability to act as trusted advisors, influencing strategic decisions and translating customer insights into impactful actions that drive commercial success.

Who you are

As an Insight Associate within the Nectar Research team at Sainsbury's, you are a passionate and curious professional with a strong background in research methodologies and project management. Your ability to transform data into actionable insights through compelling storytelling and critical thinking, paired with your strong analytical and numerical skills, allows you to deliver high-quality research projects and strategic recommendations. With your proactive and organised approach to work, along with your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you play a crucial role in influencing how clients and stakeholders understand customers and products, ultimately driving strategic decision-making and business success.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of different research methodologies or approaches — knowing which to choose, and how to turn them into compelling insights.
  • Demonstratable experience of independently and successfully managing projects.
  • Experience in drawing upon multiple sources of information to come to a point of view or recommendation.
