What you'll do

As a Secondary Space Process Planner, you will play a crucial role in collating, producing, and maintaining the GM and food secondary space for Supermarket, Small Supers, and Convenience to agreed timelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will be the 'super user' for the Promotional Communication Tool, providing support to Trading Teams and Display Planning, while also managing E2E promotional cycles and smaller initiatives or projects for future development. As a focal point of contact for the team, you will liaise with stakeholders across the business, maintain the team's profile and purpose, and provide excellent customer service to store colleagues through quick query resolution and effective store communications. Your expertise in secondary space usage, merchandising principles, and merchandising best practises will be key in driving efficiency and compliance within the team, ultimately contributing to the success of promotional campaigns and store-specific PSA improvements.

Who you are

You are a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of merchandising principles and a strategic mindset focused on maximising the effectiveness of secondary space usage. With a strong background in data integrity and compliance, you excel in managing promotional cycles, collating promotional downloads, and ensuring accurate and timely production of GM and food secondary space. Your expertise in merchandising best practises, combined with your ability to build strong category relationships and empower display coordinators, enables you to drive efficiency, improve compliance, and support the successful delivery of merchandising projects within a dynamic retail environment.

Essential Criteria:

  • Excel expertise including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
  • PowerPoint proficiency for creating professional presentations.
  • Numerical skills with strong analytical ability.
  • Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Buyers and Category Planners.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
