In a nutshell 

Are you an imaginative designer with a passion for print and pattern? We’re looking for an exceptional Print Designer to join our Clothing team, specialising in women’s nightwear and swimwear. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping standout print designs that inspire and engage our customers, setting new standards for creativity and commercial success across every channel. What you’ll do 
 

  • Support the Senior Designer in developing and delivering the design strategy for your category.
  • Create mood boards and print/pattern themes, driving macro and category trends.
  • Identify new commercial print and pattern trends that align with category and marketing growth plans.
  • Design commercial ranges that appeal to key customer profiles, with a focus on women’s nightwear and swimwear.
  • Apply your in-depth understanding of printing techniques to achieve optimum product cost and design.
  • Develop print assets for supplier briefs, ensuring critical path deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Buying, Technical, Global Sourcing, and Merchandising to deliver products that meet cost, quality, and timing targets.
  • Share trend and print/pattern information with Marketing, PR, and Digital teams, ensuring key stories and messages are communicated.
  • Build strong relationships with our global supply base and other print/pattern designers across the business.
  • Seek inspiration from external sources such as trend books, trade fairs, shops, museums, and galleries.
  • Champion sustainability in both design process and product delivery.

Essential Criteria 
 

  • Demonstrable experience in print and pattern design within the retail clothing sector, ideally with a focus on women’s nightwear and swimwear.
  • A strong, proven portfolio showcasing your creativity and expertise in print design for clothing.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional print designs and commercial ranges.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of UK and international retail dynamics.
  • Technical knowledge of clothing manufacturing processes and print techniques.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, plus other relevant design packages.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, positive, and agile approach to working, with a passion for continuous learning and development.
  • Commitment to legal, ethical, and sustainability standards.
