In a nutshell
As Colleague Voice & Insight Specialist, you will create a continuous feedback loop with our colleagues and provide functional programmes and communications teams with the inisghts they need to shape and improve the colleague experience. You will delve into the quantitative data and qualitative insight that we gather from our colleagues across a variety of our colleague channels as well as our wider HR and business data. Using this analysis, you will understand what our colleagues are telling us and translate the raw data into a meaningful picture and play this back in a way that helps our leaders to make change that will evolve our culture and ultimately advance our colleague experience. In addition, you will design and manage databases, dashboard and reporting tools to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability of the operational processes of the Colleague Engagement team.
What I am accountable for
- Work collaboratively with the Colleague Voice & Insight Specialists in the team on the planning and delivery of all colleague voice activities including the planning, set up and management of regular We’re Listening Pulse surveys
- Analyse the data from our colleague listening programmes including but not limited to input from We’re Listening surveys, our Colleague involvement forums (Make it Better Together), and other voice and insight channels.
- Own the automation of excel work flows using tools such as Power Query, VBA or Office scripts to streamline data processing, reporting and repetitive tasks
- Partner with data teams across the business to explore the relationship between colleague voice and inisghts data and other HR and business metrics
- Support the Head of Colleague Engagement in developing listening strategies and development of our business wide action plan based on our strategy
- Identify, track and manage colleague experience trends over time and how they relate to our strategic priorities
- Work with the appropriate internal stakeholders to understand the root causes of key themes identified and suggest possible solutions
- Be proactive and curious and an advocate of understanding our colleagues as well as understanding our customers, sharing insights in a meaningful way, giving a holistic picture of what we are hearing across all channels
- Based on the insight you gather suggest new methods/processes that demonstrate to our colleagues that we have listened to their feedback, that they have made a difference and have a valuable contribution
- Present key themes from across our colleague voice channels to other areas of the business, tailoring the insights to the audience
- Support the communication of our colleague voice & insight activity through our communication channels and working with the Internal Comms team on relevant communications
- Respond positively to challenge and feedback, be open to listening to other peoples' opinions and ideas and respond accordingly
- Work with third party suppliers, sharing internal knowledge to create tailored solutions
What I need to know
- Proven experience in project management, demonstrating experience in leading project independenty
- A strong understanding of survey design and analysis, with knowledge of colleague experience principles and best practice across the industry and how this can be applied to our colleagues
- Proficient in handling large datasets, including data cleaning, transformation, and storage
- An ability to interpret, analyse data with excellent attention to detail, producing credible insights and identifying recommended action / areas of focus
- Experienced in creating clear, compelling data visualisations using tools such as Excel or Power BI, to support decision-making and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Experience at negotiating with key stakeholders and external agencies with a passion and ability to lead and influence others to deliver
- A proven track record of interpreting strategic goals into achievable and value adding deliverables
- Thrives on working in a fast moving, creative & flexible environment which can impact and inspire multiple business areas
- Ability to engage others, at all levels and across all divisions, by being credible to stakeholders, building relationships and consensus
- Highly organised and efficient, being able to focus and complete tasks end to end with strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to be flexible and respond quickly and positively to changes in volume and activities
- Recognise where and when support is required to improve performance
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrable experience in managing projects independently, including planning, execution, and delivery of outcomes aligned to strategic goals.
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret large datasets, producing actionable insights and identifying trends using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
- Proficient in automating data workflows using tools like Power Query, VBA, or Office Scripts to streamline reporting and operational processes.
- Experience in survey design and analysis, with the ability to translate qualitative and quantitative feedback into meaningful recommendations.
- Track record of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including presenting tailored insights and collaborating across teams to drive change.
Desirable
- A degree or equivalent experience in social sciences (Psychology, Marketing, Human Resource management, Economics)
- Experience with Viva Glint Survey platform
