What you’ll do

Here you’ll be responsible for sourcing and delivering the best products at the best prices, ensuring quality, value, and relevance for our customers. You’ll lead the buying and selling strategy for a specific area, driving growth through a compelling and customer-led range. You’ll collaborate across teams to review and evolve the product assortment, identifying opportunities for innovation, improvement, and cost savings. Your decisions will shape both the buying and selling strategies, using financial, market, and customer data to build a market-leading offer. You’ll manage supplier relationships, optimise the supply base, and lead cross-functional projects to deliver successful outcomes. Your commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and communication skills will be key to influencing stakeholders and achieving performance goals.

You’re an experienced Buyer with a strong background in negotiating with suppliers and developing product ranges that deliver value and delight to customers. With a sharp commercial mindset, you create and execute category plans that align with Sainsbury’s strategy and customer expectations. You’re confident analysing data to spot trends, identify opportunities, and drive improvements across the Babywear category. You thrive in cross-functional environments, making strategic decisions and managing supplier relationships to deliver results.
