Joining the Digital Marketing team at Sainsbury's as an Organic Social Media Associate means being part of an exciting and dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to shape and manage the organic social media channels for both Sainsbury's and Nectar. Working closely with the Social Media Lead, you will play a key role in developing engaging content strategies, creating impactful social media campaigns, and ensuring a strong brand presence across various platforms. With the support of in-house and external agencies, as well as access to cutting-edge social media tools, you will have the resources and guidance needed to drive innovation, creativity, and success in the world of social media marketing.
What you'll do
As the Organic Social Media Associate at Sainsbury's, you will play a vital role in managing the organic social media channels, supporting the Social Media Lead in executing the brand's social media strategy. Your responsibilities will include publishing engaging content across various platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Meta, ensuring alignment with the brand strategy and customer plan. You will take ownership of the social media calendar, collaborate with internal and external partners to create compelling organic social content, and maintain the brand's social presence by keeping profile pages up to date. Additionally, you will conduct tracking, measurement, and reporting of social activity, while ensuring compliance with social media governance guidelines and providing community management across platforms. Your expertise in social media management, stakeholder coordination, content creation, and trend awareness will be key in driving the brand's social media success.
Who you are
As an Organic Social Media Associate at Sainsbury's, you are a highly creative and detail-oriented individual with a deep understanding of social media platforms and a passion for creating engaging content that resonates with audiences. With your experience in managing organic social media channels and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you demonstrate strong project management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, coupled with excellent organisational skills and the capacity to handle multiple priorities, enables you to effectively contribute to the brand's social media strategy and community engagement efforts.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in social media and experience in creating successful content across both Instagram, Meta and Tik Tok.
- Experience of working with digital media, creative or influencer agencies.
- Knowledge of social media tools and platforms (e.g. Sprout).
- Experience in food, or retail.
