Your primary responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Matrix managing a Sainsbury’s team of Senior Architects </strong>on the Core Commercial Transformation Programme, prioritising workload, supporting design decisions and fostering connected design thinking across the community.</li> <li><strong>Collaborate with third party Architects</strong> from SAP and our Systems Integrator partner to define the SAP target state and roadmap for SAP commercial transformation, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and our business goals.</li> <li><strong>Overseeing the design and implementation of SAP capabilities</strong>, ensuring scalability, security, and adherence to best practices.</li> <li><strong>Ensuring seamless integration of SAP transformation</strong> with impacted domains such as Finance, Supply Chain, and Retail, among others.</li> <li><strong>Governing architectural decisions across SAP workstreams</strong>, including Retail Price, Article Management, and Promotions.</li> <li><strong>Identifying and managing dependencies</strong>, risks, and technical debt within the transformation.</li> <li><strong>Working closely with Domain Architects, Integration, and Data Architects</strong> to ensure end-to-end consistency and alignment with North-Star architecture plans.</li> <li><strong>Establishing governance models for SAP-related solution design and delivery.</strong></li> <li><strong>Co-chairing the Core Commercial Transformation Design Authority.</strong></li> <li><strong>Being an integral part of the Architecture Community of Practice</strong>, sharing your expertise, contributing innovative design ideas, and promoting collaboration and innovation across teams. Specifically, you will direct and prioritise the workload of the Senior Architects within the team, who are aligned to functional workstreams within the programme.</li> <li><strong>Leading a programme Architecture surgery</strong> to resolve points of contention in design decisions (prior to Design Authority) and to seek wider engagement and buy-in on design decisions.</li> <li><strong>Staying informed about industry and retail developments</strong>, applying modern engineering techniques and cloud-native design principles, building trust and credibility, and delivering results with a focus on problem-solving and collaboration.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Who you are</strong><br/>&nbsp;</p> <p>Essential criteria:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of Architecture experience.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and other SAP retail modules.</li> <li>Knowledge of integration patterns such as Kafka, API, SOAP, and data transformation techniques.</li> </ul> <p>Desirable criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with cloud integration.</li> <li>Solid understanding of security standards.</li> <li>Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li> <li>An analytical and problem-solving mindset.</li> <li>Proactive and driven, able to prioritize and work to deadlines and direct the work of others.</li> <li>Coaching and mentoring skills.</li> <li>Retail experience.</li> </ul>
