Join our Construction team at Sainsbury's in the Property division, where you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering multi-million-pound physical change investment projects across our national retail estate. As a Senior Project Manager, you will drive continuous improvement in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. What you'll do

You’ll be entrusted with the end-to-end delivery of complex property-related change projects, ensuring they are completed within set timeframes, costs, and quality standards while adhering to legal and safety requirements. Additionally, you will stay abreast of industry trends, demonstrate commercial acumen, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success and alignment with company objectives.

This is a national field-based role with regular travel and overnight stays required, therefore a business needs car is included in the package. 

 

Who you are

You have a proven track record in complex retail construction project management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a strong commercial focus. You possess the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, influence decision-making, and drive successful outcomes through structured planning and effective communication. Your strategic thinking, resilience, and commitment to continuous improvement make you a valuable asset in leading cross-functional project teams and delivering high-value projects that exceed customer expectations.

 

Essential criteria

  • Experience delivering complex construction or property projects in a retail environment
  • Previous operational on-the-ground knowledge of retail stores 
  • Knowledge of construction compliance requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with internal and external partners
  • Experience of managing multiple projects concurrently
