Joining the Finance team at Sainsbury's offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in supporting the Argos Digital Marketing, CRM & Loyalty functions within the Marketing Division. What you'll do

As a Finance Manager for Digital Marketing, CRM & Loyalty, you will play a crucial role within the Marketing Finance team, supporting the Marketing Division by providing financial expertise and analysis for the Digital, CRM & Loyalty teams. Your responsibilities will include supporting the delivery of strategic plans, challenging data-led decision making, interpreting management reporting to provide valuable insights to stakeholders, identifying risks and opportunities, ensuring alignment between stakeholders, attending department meetings to represent Finance, and delivering timely and robust analysis to drive improvements across the business. In addition, you will be responsible for key Finance deliverables such as Budget, Corporate Plan, and Year-End, and for managing capital investment budgets if relevant. Success in this role will require you to deliver accurate analysis, translate data into valuable business insights, and effectively communicate financial information to support decision-making processes.

Who you are

You are a professionally qualified accountant with a strong background in business partnering and commercial finance. Your expertise in interpreting management reporting, conducting complex analysis, and driving financial and commercial performance enables you to provide valuable insights, challenge data-led decision making, and support strategic plans within the Marketing Division. With your effective communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently while collaborating with stakeholders, you play a vital role in ensuring robust financial controls, delivering accurate analysis, and contributing to the overall success of the department.

Essential Criteria

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
  • Demonstrable experience business partnering with commercial teams, ideally within the FMCG industry
  • Proven ability to complete complex, data‑led financial analysis and translate findings into actionable insight
  • Evidence of maintaining effective financial controls and contributing to a strong control environment
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, influence and challenge senior stakeholders with varying levels of financial understanding
