About the team
We’re building a strengthened Operational Excellence capability within Argos Commercial & Digital, bringing together our retained teams and Accenture Managed Services as one integrated function. Sitting at the centre of Argos, the Commercial & Digital division combines deep retail, digital and operational expertise to deliver excellent experiences across all our brands. As part of our Process Owner community, you’ll work at the heart of this this by partnering closely with internal and offshore teams to simplify core processes, improve data quality, strengthen governance and drive continuous improvement so we can serve customers better and operate at pace.
More about the role
As a Process Owner, you will take ownership of specific steps within core Commercial & Digital processes such as product set‑up, pricing changes, merchandising inputs, or supplier‑facing tasks. You’ll run daily and weekly routines, maintain accurate documentation and controls, and act as a key contact for retained teams on process matters.
You’ll work closely with Accenture Managed Services and category teams to identify issues, raise defects, coordinate fixes and support the landing of changes into BAU. You will also contribute to continuous improvement activity by tracking process adherence, analysing performance data and sharing insights with the wider Process Owner community.
This role is central to creating a seamless “one‑team” approach between our Accenture Managed Services and retained teams, ensuring that end‑to‑end Commercial & Digital processes are delivered consistently and meet all requirements and SLAs. You’ll build strong relationships across UK and offshore teams, drive effective collaboration, and coordinate the smooth running of core process activity to maximise collective performance.
More about you
You bring strong process literacy and a solid understanding of how Commercial & Digital activity flows through systems and teams. You’re organised, proactive and comfortable working at pace, able to balance competing priorities while keeping documentation and controls accurate and up to date. You communicate clearly and collaborate confidently across UK and offshore teams, raising issues early and driving actions through to resolution.
You take a data‑led, curious and solution‑focused approach, using insight to simplify processes and improve outcomes for colleagues and customers. Adaptable in changing environments, you’re comfortable facilitating workshops, building alignment, and influencing decisions. Retail experience particularly in Buying & Merchandising is advantageous, but what matters most is your ability to demonstrate practical process ownership, problem‑solving capability and a continuous improvement mindset.
Essential criteria
- Strong process management capability, with the ability to streamline day‑to‑day working practices and identify opportunities to simplify and improve how we work.
- Good understanding of Commercial & Digital processes and systems, including how process changes impact performance and core commercial drivers.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, able to work at pace, prioritise effectively and adapt to changing business needs.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to engage a wide range of cross‑functional stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication.
- Highly motivated, capable of working autonomously, and able to make sound decisions under pressure by combining analytical thinking with a pragmatic, curious approach.
