What you'll do
As a Finance Manager - Argos Strategy, you will play a crucial role in shaping the long-term direction of the business by providing trusted financial insight, constructive challenge, and robust financial expertise to influence and guide strategic decisions. Working closely with executive leaders, you will lead the financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, develop and maintain strategic financial models, and provide clear recommendations to senior leadership that highlight risks, trade-offs, and value drivers. Your role will involve translating long-term corporate strategy into multi-year financial plans, evaluating macroeconomic trends, and identifying strategic risks and opportunities to support the organisation's growth initiatives effectively.

You are a qualified accountant with a strong strategic mindset and deep commercial acumen, adept at translating long-term corporate strategy into actionable financial plans. With advanced financial modelling skills and the ability to distil complex analysis into clear insights, you play a critical role in evaluating strategic initiatives, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing valuable recommendations to senior leadership. Your attention to detail, confidence in influencing stakeholders, and commitment to delivering high-quality work at pace make you a trusted finance partner and advisor, driving performance and creating value for the organisation.
Essential Criteria
- Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
- Demonstrable expertise in financial analysis, including advanced financial modelling, scenario analysis, and interpretation of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and capital metrics
- Proven ability to link financial outcomes to operational and market drivers, using commercial insight to inform decision‑making and value creation
- Evidence of translating complex financial analysis into clear, actionable insights, tailored for non‑financial and senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience influencing decisions in a stakeholder environment, including communicating financial concepts effectively and operating where information may be incomplete or evolving
