Better still, the team around you will listen to your ideas and opinions, and you’ll have every chance to try something new. The sheer scale and complexity of our set-up means there’s always something else around the corner, and we’ll help and support you every step of the way. We’re trusted to get on with it. So get ready to make things happen here.

About the team

Group Finance sits at the heart of the organisation, supporting strong governance, high‑quality external reporting and informed decision‑making across a complex retail business. The Financial Reporting team has end‑to‑end accountability for all externally reported numbers, including the Annual Report and Interim Statement, and owns the Group accounting policies to ensure compliance with IFRS and best practice. The team works closely with senior finance leaders and the wider business, playing a key role in shaping and delivering change across Group Finance.

More about the role

As Finance Manager – Group Reporting, you will be a key member of the Group Finance team, owning financial accounting for a portfolio of Group companies and specific technical accounting areas. You will support the preparation of consolidated Group results across periodic, half‑year and full‑year reporting cycles, working closely with the Head of Strategic Corporate Finance and Group Financial Reporting and the Head of Consolidation.

Day to day, you will coordinate and contribute to the Annual Report and Interim reporting processes, prepare statutory accounts, manage audits, and maintain high‑quality accounting records and reconciliations. You will also contribute to wider Group projects with accounting impact, such as new accounting policy implementation, restructurings, and commercial initiatives, applying professional judgement and clearly articulating accounting implications to finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

More about you

You are a qualified accountant with demonstrable experience in statutory and Group reporting environments. You are comfortable applying IFRS requirements, using judgement to resolve complex accounting matters, and producing accurate, well‑reasoned outputs that stand up to scrutiny.

You work effectively both independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities to deadlines, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at different levels across the business. You have a detail‑focused approach and are motivated by delivering high‑quality reporting and insight in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Essential criteria

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audit processes.
  • Proven involvement in Group or consolidated financial reporting under IFRS.
  • Evidence of applying professional judgement to complex or non‑standard accounting areas.
  • Ability to communicate accounting and reporting concepts clearly to finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
