What you'll do
As a Finance Analyst - Technology, you will serve as a crucial finance partner to the Technology team, collaborating cross-functionally and cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation. Your responsibilities will involve supporting the month-end process to ensure accurate accounting treatment of Tech costs, producing clear and precise management information for Tech stakeholders, and contributing to forecasting and financial planning activities by providing insightful analysis on key risks, opportunities, and financial drivers. Additionally, you will play a vital role in enhancing reporting outputs, offering timely and accurate financial reporting across Tech projects, and supporting the development of financial models for new and existing initiatives. Your success in this role will be measured by the completion of work to a high standard, accurate reporting and forecasting, and the delivery of targets and process improvements while actively engaging and developing relationships throughout the business.
Who you are
You are a qualified or part-qualified accountant with a strong aptitude for financial analysis and reporting. With advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, you excel in producing accurate management information and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making. Your ability to build and maintain relationships, prioritise effectively, and demonstrate resilience in navigating challenges makes you a valuable partner to the Technology team and key stakeholders across the organisation. Your commitment to high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and integrity drives your success in delivering financial support and driving process improvements within the Tech Finance function.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Demonstrable advanced Excel capability, including use of pivot tables, lookups and macros, and the ability to produce professional outputs using PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of core finance methodologies, such as NPV and ROCE, with the ability to apply these in a business or analysis context and a demonstrable commitment to continuous learning
- Proven analytical and process‑focused approach, including the ability to evaluate data, identify issues, and prioritise tasks effectively to meet competing deadlines
- Ability to engage and challenge stakeholders constructively, evidenced through maintaining effective working relationships, exercising professional judgement, and operating with integrity under pressure
