Food Commercial - Macro Space Co-ordinator

About the team

Our Space team sits within Food Commercial (Commercial Ops) and plays a key role in shaping how customers experience our stores. Working across General Merchandise and Clothing, we partner with Store Planning, Allocation & Replenishment and Retail teams to ensure space is used effectively and investment programs land smoothly delivering the right choice for customers and strong commercial outcomes.

More about the role

As a Macro Space Co‑Ordinator, you’ll help track and manage store investment schemes through the investment program, ensuring the correct non‑food space is landed and the correct product ranges are assigned. You’ll maintain and continuously improve the Non‑Food Investment Tracker, monitor live schemes, and keep the wider business informed of any space or launch date changes.

You’ll generate Pick sheets to communicate space and range changes, and work closely with Store Planning, Allocation & Replenishment and Retail teams to ensure all changes are implemented accurately in store. Alongside day‑to‑day coordination, you’ll support the Macro Space Analyst and Macro Space Manager with investment store plan reviews, keep reporting up to date, and take ownership of assigned space projects - spotting opportunities to improve space utilisation and performance across stores and categories.

More about you

You’re organised and detail‑focused, comfortable working at pace across multiple live activities and stakeholders. You enjoy turning data into clear outputs that enable others to act—whether that’s updating trackers, creating pick sheets, or producing concise updates when plans change.

You’ll bring strong analytical problem‑solving skills and confidence using Excel, alongside the ability to balance space recommendations with operational restrictions, visual considerations, product flow/adjacencies and customer needs. You’ll be keen to learn, take ownership of your work and build credibility as a trusted partner within the Space function.

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrable experience using Excel to maintain and improve trackers or reporting tools that support program delivery (e.g., store change, range or investment activity)

  • Evidence of producing accurate, timely communications or outputs (e.g., pick sheets, reports, change packs) to enable teams to implement agreed changes

  • Proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders to deliver changes to plan, including managing updates when timelines, space or scope change

  • Ability to analyse store/category performance data and identify opportunities or actions that improve space utilisation or commercial outcomes

  • Demonstrable organisation and time‑management skills, with an approach that ensures high attention to detail across concurrent priorities
