Working in our Warehouses:
Our colleagues are central to our warehouse operations, where we store, move, and deliver everything Argos sells in the moments that matter to our customers. They are part of a large national network of warehouses (Local Fulfilment Centres), offering an industry-leading fast-track service that delivers Argos products to our customers' front doors or to the collection point that suits them best. Our colleagues use technology and great teamwork to ensure we never let our customers down.
What you’ll be doing:
- Use a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) to safely unload stillages from trailers onto the warehouse floor.
- Break down stillages and manually sort stock using pen-and-paper methods.
- Sort stock accurately into designated delivery routes.
- Load and secure sorted stock into 7.5-tonne vehicles, ensuring loads are stable and safe for transport using hook and loop straps in line with health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Manual Handling & Physical Requirements
- Handle stock that can weigh up to 150kg.
- Carry out heavy manual handling tasks using correct techniques and approved manual handling equipment.
- Work in pairs where required to move large or heavy items safely.
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and safe systems of work at all times.
Shift Patterns
We are looking for great candidates that can work 25 hours per week with overtime available.
