Brand Communications Assistant (C3) – Argos

Role Purpose

As a Brand Communications Assistant at Argos, you’ll help the Brand Communications team bring our brand propositions to life through engaging, customer-focused campaigns. Working closely with the Brand Comms Manager and wider team, you’ll support the planning and delivery of brand and broadcast communications across paid, owned and earned channels. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for marketing, advertising and brands, who is eager to learn and develop their skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of brand and broadcast campaigns, helping coordinate activity from brief through to launch

Support the development of engaging creative campaigns and communications

Help write clear briefs, updates and feedback for creative, media and internal teams

Assist with the development of creative assets and media plans across appropriate channels

Support campaign reporting by collating results and sharing key learnings

Help capture and share campaign learnings to inform future activity

Build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and agency partners

Support budget tracking, purchase order management and campaign administration

Help ensure all advertising is compliant, legal and aligned with brand guidelines

Keep up to date with marketing, advertising, customer and cultural trends

 

Skills & Experience

Essential

A genuine passion for marketing, advertising and brands

Curious, enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills

Strong organisation skills and attention to detail

A willingness to use data, insight and feedback to improve work

Confident communicator who enjoys working with others

Proactive, positive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

Some exposure to marketing, communications or project-based work through study, work experience, volunteering or personal interests

Retail or customer-focused experience

 

About You

You’re curious, organised and enthusiastic, with a real interest in marketing, advertising and brands. You don’t need extensive marketing experience, but you should be eager to learn, willing to get stuck in and excited by the opportunity to develop a career in brand communications. You enjoy working with others, take ownership of your work and bring a positive attitude to everything you do.
