Job Description
Everything starts with our products. As a retailer we are focused on planning, buying, moving and selling products. And the data we hold about those products is the DNA of any retailer. We need to track all the key information about the products across Sainsbury's group, and we have multiple internal teams and stakeholders, as well as our customers, dependent on the timeliness and quality of that data. In this software engineering domain, we help deliver that capability.
By engineering innovative, smart technology, we put the tools in our colleagues’ hands to set up, manage & share data about our products as and when they need to. This data underpins everything from our global supply chain to the data on our websites to the information on our packaging. Whether it’s wine from New Zealand or milk from the local dairy farm, or electronics from East Asia, our tech performs. We solve problems at scale. We keep our product data flowing smoothly around the clock, because what’s important to our colleagues and customers, is important to us.
