My Story

“Working for such a large organisation, I think it’s amazing how people want to work together and create positive change in diversity and inclusion through all levels of the business. I’ve learnt so much about different peoples’ experiences, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting people that are different to me, but finding that there’s so much we can collaborate on and that difference fuels the success of the business.

“It’s an organisation that’s willing to try things out which I love. We really do have people from every single area of society running through our business so we take every opportunity to learn about different people and their backgrounds. It means we are in a better position to serve communities more effectively and that’s something we are really focused on doing.

“Retail has a lot of stereotypes attached to it, but the roles you can do are so much more varied than a lot of industries, and you can get exposure to much larger projects or job roles which is great for your development. I talk to people who have had really long careers here, and that’s because you’re able to move around and try new things out. Retail is a fast paced, ever changing world, we’re constantly having to find ways to equip ourselves for the future, and in turn we’re equipping our colleagues for the future too.”
