What you'll do


As a Midweight Conceptual Designer at Zest, Sainsbury's in-house creative agency, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and visually compelling design concepts aligned with the brand identities of Sainsbury's, Tu, Habitat, Argos, and Nectar. Your expertise in communications design, coupled with your ability to work at both conceptual and executional levels across various platforms, will be essential in guiding and implementing the visual design language across integrated channels, including print and digital projects. You will lead the concepting of design projects, translating craft briefs into impactful designs, while ensuring brand consistency and alignment. Partnerships will be key as you work closely with the Design Director, Senior Creative team, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional design output.

Additionally, you will mentor and inspire broader design teams, stay updated on design trends and emerging technologies, and actively contribute to the continual growth and elevation of Zest's design vision and quality of output.

Who you are


As a Midweight Conceptual Designer at Sainsbury's, you are an experienced and passionate design professional with a deep understanding of crafting visually compelling concepts that align with brand identities. Your extensive background in working with fashion or homeware brands, coupled with FMCG experience, enables you to excel in delivering high-quality design output across multi-channel campaigns, including POS, DM, social, and digital platforms. With your exceptional design skills, attention to detail, and ability to provide guidance and leadership to junior colleagues, you contribute to creating innovative and impactful designs that enhance the overall creative direction of projects. Your strong communication skills and adaptability allow you to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and clients, ensuring brand consistency and delivering excellence in design. With your curiosity and dedication to craft, you drive continuous growth and success at Zest, contributing to the improvement and innovation of design opportunities.
