When you join Sainsbury’s Digital, you’ll join one of the fastest growing multi-channels in the business, working across both the Groceries Online and On Demand propositions. As an Operations Support Executive, you will play a vital role in coordinating and driving the successful execution of the Food Digital Operating Models. What you need to know and show

  • Strong food retail experience within the digital space, including groceries online and/or On Demand (Deliveroo, uber eats, just eat) operations
  • Strong subject matter expertise and operational know how, of our food digital propositions, including Groceries Online and/or On Demand operational processes, policies, and standards.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, including how to improve food digital operations and how this relates to the P&L, whilst also understanding how your work impacts business benefits, colleagues, and customers.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective organisation, proactively prioritising and adapting your workload to timescales.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and present complex work in a clear and succinct manner for wide ranging audiences, whilst maintaining confidentiality where necessary.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office is essential, some analytical experience is preferable.
  • Ability to use your transferable skills to support across the team as required, this may mean supporting project work on a tactical, short-term basis across multiple areas of Food Digital Operations and Development.

What outcomes I need to deliver

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with our store and central teams, suppliers, and third-party partners.
  • Investigate and resolve store operational queries using multiple data sources and systems.
  • Action and maintain existing processes and systems, ensuring integrity and accuracy in everything we do, with key stakeholders identified and kept up to date.
  • Monitor key cost lines to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of Food Digital operating models, escalating opportunities as required.
  • Administer and coordinate propositional activities across internal and external teams, including the delivery of key events and trading periods.
  • Identify opportunities to drive the effective resolution of operational pain points, clearly articulating the impact to colleagues and customers.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in support of educational activities, actionable insight to end user customers and adherence to operating model processes and procedures.
  • Support sustainable change, working cross functionally to create value driven outcomes for stores, colleagues, and central teams.
