What you'll do
As a Senior Architect at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in planning and defining the technical roadmap for your designated capability areas. Working closely with multiple engineering teams, your responsibilities will include shaping and designing new products and services that align with the overall architecture. You will influence the design and construction of components within your area, ensuring they deliver maximum value towards the roadmap. Additionally, you will contribute to the adoption of technology principles across your area of responsibility and actively share your own learning and expertise within the architecture community. With a strong focus on modern engineering practises and cloud-native design techniques, you will collaborate with product teams to develop architectural roadmaps and blueprints. Your ability to take a holistic view, consider multiple perspectives, and propose creative solutions will be crucial.

Who you are
As a Senior Architect at Sainsbury's, you are a highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of architecture frameworks and the ability to simplify and transform complex business landscapes. Your expertise in evolving architectures and emergent design allows you to develop target and transition states that modernise and simplify the technology landscape for your specific area of responsibility. With your strong knowledge of modern engineering practises and cloud-native design techniques, you collaborate closely with product teams to create conceptual, logical, and physical solution designs that align with architectural roadmaps and blueprints. Your flexible and holistic approach enables you to consider multiple viewpoints and devise creative solutions. With your self-driven nature and constant drive for self-improvement and team success, you contribute to a culture of continuous innovation and improvement. Your strong influencing and communication skills allow you to effectively communicate and advocate for your architectural vision and principles, fostering collaboration and alignment across teams.
